Smoke pressure systems (SPS-system)

To keep escape and emergency routes free from smoke using
pressure differences


Areas of application:
Buildings in which smoke-free emergency routes are specified in
accordance with building law, the second emergency route is
missing or protected areas are provided for in the event of a
fire, e.g. internal stairwells with or without a vestibule,
safety staircases including locks, corridors and hallways,
rescue tunnels, fire brigade lifts or disabled-access lifts
with functional integrity.
Special constructions which are frequented by a lot of
people according to their intended purpose such as buildings
used for exhibitions, trade fairs and events, administration
buildings, railway buildings and airports, hotels and leisure centres,
shopping centres and adventure parks, school buildings and
kindergartens and large multi-functional buildings.
Special buildings occupied and frequented by people who are
unable to save themselves in the event of a fire such as homes
for the elderly and sheltered housing complexes, hospitals and
rehabilitation clinics and schools and homes for the disabled.
